Typing games for kids
Typing adventures
Pick a world, and Fig the octopus tells you a story. Type it one line at a time to move the story on, win stars and collect stickers.
Hi, I’m Fig! I type with all eight arms. Where shall we go?
Typing adventures are made for a keyboard. On a phone or tablet you can type with the on-screen keyboard, but the finger guide only shows on a computer.
Pick a world
For grown-ups
Each story uses only the keys of your child’s level, from the home row at level 1 to capitals and question marks at level 12, and a keyboard under the text shows which finger to use. From level 3 an AI writes a new story each time, checked for the level’s letters and for kind, everyday words; at the first two levels, or whenever the AI can’t, Fig tells one of our own stories. Nothing your child types is sent anywhere, and levels and stickers stay in this browser.
More on how it works, and on keeping practice short and fun, is on our page about typing practice for kids and in our guide to typing for kids. Our privacy page lists what the site sends.
